ABOUT IFS COACHING

IFS Coaching gives you a dedicated space to do your own inner work - slowly, gently, and with support.

As therapists, we’re often holding so much for others that our own parts get pushed aside. IFS Coaching offers one-on-one weekly virtual sessions and a protected place to turn inward, listen to what’s happening inside you, and reconnect with the parts of you that need attention, care, and healing.

This work is for you - not your clients. It’s a chance to notice what gets activated in your life, to unblend from old patterns, and to build more inner spaciousness so you can move through the world with greater clarity and ease. When you tend to your system, you naturally show up more grounded, present, and connected in all areas of your life - including your clinical work - because you’ve done the inner work first.

CONTACT

Hi there, I’m Julie.

My path into IFS Coaching began with my own inner work. Before I became IFS-Certified, Level 2 trained, or a Program Assistant for Level 1 and 2 trainings, I was simply learning to meet my own system with compassion. IFS changed how I understood myself and how I moved through the world, and coaching therapists felt like a natural extension of that transformation.

Since then, I’ve supported many therapists as they explore their inner worlds with courage and curiosity, and learn the IFS model. My style is warm, steady, and collaborative - I’m not above you, but beside you. I bring my training and lived experience to create a space where you can feel grounded, connected, and more fully yourself.

I invite you to consider joining my IFS Immersion Coaching Program cohort, for truly transformative equipping in the IFS model. You can read more about the program below.

What is IFS coaching for therapists?

IFS coaching helps therapists build confidence, clarity, and embodiment of the IFS model. Coaching focuses on professional and personal growth rather than mental health treatment, supporting you in leading from Self and working skillfully with parts that show up in and outside of the therapy room.

How is coaching different from therapy?

Coaching is not therapy and does not treat mental health conditions. Instead, it focuses on professional development, confidence, and application of IFS skills. While personal material may arise, the primary focus is supporting you as a therapist rather than providing clinical treatment.

How is coaching different from supervision?

IFS coaching does not include case consultation or oversight. Supervision focuses on clients and ethical responsibility, while coaching focuses on your internal experience as a therapist—such as self-doubt, nervous system regulation, and staying in Self-energy during sessions.

Who is IFS coaching best suited for?

IFS coaching is ideal for graduate students, pre-licensed clinicians, and licensed therapists learning or integrating IFS. It’s especially helpful if you experience imposter syndrome, freeze during sessions, or struggle to trust your intuition.

Are you fully trained in IFS?

Yes. I am IFS-certified and fully trained in Internal Family Systems through Level 2. I also serve as a Program Assistant for IFS Level 1 and Level 2 trainings. I bring both training depth and lived clinical experience to coaching sessions.

Can coaching help me feel more confident in sessions?

Yes. Many therapists know the model intellectually but struggle to stay grounded in sessions. Coaching helps you work directly with parts that interfere—such as performance anxiety or self-criticism—so you can access Self-energy more consistently with clients.

What makes your IFS coaching approach different?

My approach emphasizes embodiment, safety, and Self-leadership rather than performance. I focus on helping therapists grow from the inside out, integrating IFS in a way that feels authentic, grounded, and sustainable.

Testimonials

IFS COACHING FAQs

Is IFS coaching appropriate if I’m already in therapy?

Yes. Coaching works well alongside personal therapy. Therapy supports healing, while coaching focuses on professional embodiment and skill integration. Many therapists find the combination especially supportive and clarifying. It is said, “You can only take someone else as far as you’ve gone yourself.”

Can coaching help with imposter syndrome?

Absolutely. Imposter syndrome is often driven by protective parts trying to prevent failure or shame. IFS coaching helps you build a relationship with these parts, reducing internal pressure and increasing confidence, presence, and trust in your abilities.

Do I need to be IFS-certified or trained to benefit from coaching?

No. Coaching is helpful whether you are IFS-curious, IFS-informed, or officially IFS-trained. The focus is on integrating principles into your unique style, not performing the model perfectly or meeting external standards. Coaching is supportive no matter where you are on your IFS journey.

Does coaching count toward licensure or supervision hours?

No. IFS coaching does not count toward licensure, supervision, or clinical hours. It is designed as a complementary support to help you grow internally and professionally alongside required training pathways.

Can coaching help with burnout or overwhelm?

Yes. Coaching often supports therapists experiencing burnout, over-responsibility, or emotional fatigue. By strengthening internal boundaries and Self-leadership, coaching helps restore balance and sustainability in your work.

Do you offer group coaching or workshops?

Yes. I periodically offer group coaching experiences and workshops for therapists interested in IFS integration. These spaces provide connection, normalization, and shared learning within a supportive, non-supervisory container. Reach out to hear more about my four-month IFS Immersion Coaching Program.

How do I get started with IFS coaching?

Reach out through the website and I will text you to schedule a ten-minute phone consultation. We’ll explore your goals, training background, and whether coaching feels like the right step. Curiosity and openness is all you need to begin.
